The new first coach who will operate the champion of Poland in the upcoming season is the Dutchman Teun Buijs, together with three Poles. It does not change the role of Piotr Graban, who was an assistant to Adam Grabowski last season. Tomasz Wasilkowski will also have the role of the assistant.

“This season, we will work with two assistants, because one of them will be dedicated only to the setter,” Buijs explains the shape of the current coaching staff. “During matches, one of them will be watching mostly that element, so he will be able to transfer all the comments from other members of staff directly to her”.

Tomasz Wasilkowski is the new face in the Polish champion, but well known in the volleyball arenas. Previously, he was the training youth categories in Płomień Sosnowiec and French Noyelles Sous Lens. In France, he was also an assistant coach in VC Harnes, and later performed the same function in Pamapol Wieluń. In Wieluń and Ślepsk Suwałki (last season) he had a roll of the first coach. Wasilkowski was also the coach of schools in Spała and Sosnowiec, while he worked with the national teams of Polish cadets, women cadets and women juniors.

Statistician is Piotr Matela. Previously, he was a scout, as well as the assistant coach, among others in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Pila and Bielsko-Biała. He celebrated silver medal in the Challenge Cup with the men’s team of Politechnika Warszawska. At the Universiade in Kazan he was scout with men’s national team which won silver medal. Earlier, he was a trainee at the men’s national team of Poland.

In the team will remain physiotherapist, dr. Aleksander Bielecki, whose many years of experience with Polish national teams in various sports is invaluable. The masseur Dariusz Klos will continue with the health care in Trefl. Coach of physical preparation will remain Mirosław Cygan but he will join the team after the end of September. Over the past months he was preparing a squad for the World Grand Prix tournament, and soon he will be with the women’s national team of Poland at the European Championship.
