After losing to Halkbank ANKARA on Wednesday, Poland’s JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel is already looking forward to their home debut in the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Men. On Tuesday they will host Austria’s Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK, with the players around Slovak head coach Stefan Chrtiansky also vying for their first victory in the competition after they suffered a setback (1:3) with Romania’s Tomis CONSTANTA.

The away victory by Romania’s champions was quite a surprise especially as Hypo Tirol was debuting in this year’s CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League with the confidence stemming from four consecutive victories in the national league, where they have lost no sets at all so far.

“It is a very important game for us, because we didn’t take any point in the first round” says JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel head coach Lorenzo Bernardi. “We will prepare for this match the best we can and for sure we will be ready to play good Volleyball on Tuesday. Our main goal was and still remains to make the Playoffs 12 of the CEV Volleyball Champions League”.
