The defense of the debutants to the Polish men’s volleyball Championship, LUK Politechnika Lublin, will be commanded by an experienced American libero.
Lublin, the winners of the Polish second division and, subsequently, newcomers to the PlusLiga, engaged a former US National Team member Dustin Watten. Thus, a 34-year-old libero will play his third season in a row in Poland (the previous two were in GKS Katowice).
Watten is a one-time FIVB World Cup (2015) winner, a two-time winner of the Pan American Cup, and a one-time winner of the NORCECA Championship. In the second of the two USA’s conquests of the Pan American Cup, Watten was named Best Digger (2012). On a club level, the libero took the German Championship once.
