Jastrzębski Węgiel notched the third win in a row in the 2021/22 Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Beating Cuprum Lubin in straight sets in Round 11 of the 2021/22 PlusLiga, Jastrzębski Węgiel strengthened their second place in the table, having five points more than third-placed Projekt Warszawa but lag the same number of points behind the leaders Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Cuprum made a strong stand against the favorites in the first set, but Jastrzębski’s dominance in the following sets was never questioned.
The Czech Jan Hadrava tallied 15 points on the winning side. Łukasz Wiśniewski set up six blocks and Rafał Szymura 72% reception (18 digs, one error, 33% perfect).
