Energa MKS Kalisz staged a big surprise in Round 12 of the 2021/22 Polish Women’s Volleyball Championship.
In the 12fth round of 2021/22 TAURON Liga, Energa MKS Kalisz beat ŁKS Commercecon Łódź 3-1 (25-19, 25-17, 17-25, 25-16) and made a big surprise. ŁKS, the bronze medalists, are projected to fight for the medal while Kalisz have the main goal of surviving in the elite. Aleksandra Dudek top-scored the winning side with 20 points.
An even bigger surprise was on the horizon in the other match on today’s schedule. After being trampled over in the first two sets by the vice leaders Developres BELLA DOLINA Rzeszów, BKS BOSTIK Bielsko-Biała started to fight hard and extended the match to the tie-break, which they lost but took an important point from their rivals. Developres claimed temporary leadership of the standings.
