Jastrzębski Węgiel prevailed over Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in the hit of Round 18 of the 2021/22 Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship.
A very interesting encounter happened in Jastrzębie-Zdrój in Round 18 of the 2021/22 PlusLiga. Resovia broke the series of wins of Jastrzębski without losing a set (10 straight-set wins in a row in all competitions), but the Polish champions took all 3 points and achieved their 11th successive victory (the 7th successive victory in PlusLiga). This match was the first serious test for Resovia since the arrival of Argentine head coach Marcelo Méndez after which the Rzeszów side has notched 3 wins in a row. That mini-run came to an end. The Czech Jan Hadrava top-scored Jastrzębski with 21 points.
GKS Katowice staged quite a sensation in Round 16. They surprised the title contenders and 4th-placed side Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, sweeping them 3-0, and moved up from the 10th to the 8th place in the charts.
