Zhang Jingyin will represent Trefl Gdańsk until the end of the current PlusLiga season. The 23-year-old outside hitter has just become the first-ever Chinese player to compete in the Polish top division.

Jingyin came to Trefl from Zhejiang after the season in Super League ended earlier than in most parts of the world. He’ll come to Poland as part of the promotion of the PlusLiga in China and will most likely appear in the jersey of the Gdańsk side in mid-February. Jingyin is one of the most important players on his country’s national team. In the last FIVB Volleyball Nations League, he was the leading scorer of his team.
