President Andrzej Duda of Poland recently awarded state honors to the country’s representatives at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris 2024. A total of 10 medals were won by Polish athletes, marking a significant achievement for the nation.
During the ceremony, President Duda praised the athletes for their dedication, hard work, and the pride they brought to the country, highlighting the emotional moments when the Polish national anthem played in Paris. He also recognized the coaches for their role in shaping these athletes and helping them reach their full potential.
The highest honors were bestowed upon several athletes and coaches for their contributions to the development and promotion of sports in Poland. Bartosz Kurek was awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, while other athletes such as Paweł Zatorski and Mateusz Bieniek received Officer’s and Knight’s Crosses of the Order.
Nikola Grbić, recognized for his coaching excellence, was also honored with the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.
