Jastrzębski Węgiel pulled off a stunning comeback to become the first semifinalist in the 2024/2025 PlusLiga playoffs. Down 0-2 away against Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa, the reigning champs rallied to win 3-2 (19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-12) and sealed the quarterfinal series 2-0.
It was a gutsy performance led by Łukasz Kaczmarek (22 points) and Tomasz Fornal (17), with strong support from Norbert Huber (14). On the other side, Patrik Indra shined for Norwid with 25 points, but it wasn’t enough.
