Igor Gorgonzola Novara Triumphs Over Alba Blaj in Straight Sets

Italian powerhouse Igor Gorgonzola Novara clinched the CEV Cup 2025 with a resounding 3-0 (30-28, 25-17, 28-26) victory in the return leg against CS Volei Alba Blaj, securing the second most prestigious European trophy in women’s volleyball.
Having won the first leg 3-1, Novara needed just two sets to seal the deal—and they did so in style, led by a relentless performance from Tatiana Tolok, who racked up 22 points (68% attack) and earned the MVP title.
This historic win completes Novara’s European “triplete” after lifting the CEV Champions League in 2019 and the CEV Challenge Cup in 2024.
