KS DevelopRes Rzeszów wrote a golden chapter in club history by defeating ŁKS Commercecon Łódź 3:1 in the third match of the TAURON Liga playoff finals, clinching their first-ever Polish championship. The team, led by coach Stephane Antiga, dropped only two sets across the best-of-five series, sealing the title in front of a packed home crowd at Podpromie Arena.

The opening set showcased DevelopRes’ dominance, with Marrit Jasper and Sabrina Machado leading the charge to a convincing 25:17 win. Although ŁKS came back to take the second set 25:23 thanks to powerful plays by Regiane Bidias, Rzeszów’s squad quickly regained control. Monika Fedusio’s aggressive attacks in the third set, backed by stellar defense and net play, put them just one set away from glory.

The fourth set delivered the drama expected from a championship decider. Both teams pushed to their limits, with thrilling exchanges and high-stakes serves. Despite a late comeback attempt from ŁKS, including two aces by Angelika Gajer, DevelopRes held their nerve. A decisive spike from MVP Marrit Jasper sealed the 27:25 victory, sparking celebrations as the team captured its long-awaited crown.

After five consecutive silver medals, KS DevelopRes Rzeszów finally stood atop the podium.
