
Bogdanka LUK Lublin claimed a straight-sets victory over PGE Project Warszawa on round 12 of Poland’s PlusLiga, winning 3–0 at home. Despite traveling with a severely reduced seven-man squad due to health issues, the Warsaw side put up a determined fight and helped produce an entertaining contest.
Forced to reshuffle positions, the visitors stayed competitive throughout the match, but Lublin edged each set to complete the clean sweep (27–25, 25–22, 25–23). The win confirmed Bogdanka’s position at the top of the table at the end of the first round of the regular season.
Mateusz Malinowski led the hosts with 15 points and was named MVP. Jakub Wachnik contributed 13 points for Lublin. For Project Warszawa, Brandon Koppers scored a match-high 18 points. The visitors were more effective at the net, outscoring Lublin in blocks 9–5.
After the first half of the season, Bogdanka LUK Lublin lead the standings with 30 points. PGE Project Warsaw sit second on 28 points, with Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, and PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów close behind on 27 each.
