UNI Opole secured a place in the Tauron Liga semi-finals for the first time ever, overcoming ITA Tools Stal Mielec in a hard-fought five-set battle to win the series 2–1.
After taking the first set, Opole saw their opponents turn the match around by winning the next two. With elimination looming, the hosts responded in style, dominating the fourth set and staying composed in the decider to seal the comeback.
Hanna Hellvig starred with 33 points, while Katarzyna Zaroślińska-Król added 30 and was named MVP. Anna Bączyńska led Stal Mielec with 23 points.
UNI Opole will face PGE Budowlani Łódź in the semi-finals.
