Memorial Zdzislaw Ambroziak will be held from 21st to 23rd September in Ursynów Arena. This year the tournament will be attended by six teams: PGE Skra Belchatow, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, AZS Czestochowa, AZS Olsztyn, AZS Politechnika Warszawska and the Turkish team Arkas Izmir.

Reminder that in this year’s Champions League semi-final Arkas Izmir played against PGE Skra Belchatow. The Poles won the encounter 3-0. The Turkish played for the third place and lost to Trentino PlanetWin365 and tthey finished in fourth position.

On Friday (21 September), the first day of the VII Zdzislaw Ambroziak Memorial eliminations will be held in which the AZS Politechnika will face Arkas Izmir, and AZS Olsztyn will play against AZS Czestochowa. The losers of these matches will play on Saturday, for the 5th place, and the remaining teams will compete for medals. As every year, Zdzislaw Ambroziak Memorial will be the last test before the new PlusLigi season.

Zdzislaw Ambroziak – a great volleyball player and sports journalist. He represented the Polish team in 220 meetings in the years 1963-1972. He participated in the Olympic Games in Mexico in 1968 (5th place) and in Munich in 1972 (9th place). He won the bronze medal on the European Championships in Istanbul in 1967. At the end of his sports career he began working as a journalist, he was a newspaper and television commentator. He died on January 23, 2004.
