PTPS Piła took advantage of the fact that Plusliga vice champions already secured second place for playoffs and that they arrived to this match without key players – Zaroślińska, Balkestein-Grothues, Djerisilo… Also, Trefl came with nine players only.

As Lorenzo Micelli, coach of Trefl, stated after the match, his team used clash against Piła mostly to prepare for upcoming obligations – national Cup quarterfinals (March 16) and league playoffs afterwards.

Anita Kwiatkowska topped scorers of Piła with 18 points while, on the other side, Maja Tokarska and Magdalena Damaske had 15 each.
