Lube Civitanova have risen from the ashes to win the bronze medal at the 2016 CEV Men’s Champions League. It was not easy, not at all, especially after that heavy loss in the semifinals, but the Italian side managed to find their rhythm and to win the 3rd place match.

One of the best players in Lube was the American international – William Priddy.

“This match was not just about this match. It was about recuperating our team and we did that. It was not perfect, but we stayed together. This is a great team, a special team, but we suffered a couple of weeks of not playing at our level. So, today we made a good step toward the right direction,” said Priddy for WorldofVolley.

American player added that it was very important for his team to regain confidence after some tough defeats.

“It’s very difficult. We played a great match in Turkey against HalkBank, while then we had 20 days off and worked very hard, but without matches we lost something. Still, I think tonight we found it and whether the result was good or bad we wanted to make this team feel it again.”
