Resovia vs. Trefl
After three away games, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów finally had a chance to play in front of their own crowd this season. And they debuted in their Podpromie gymnasium with a win over Lotos Trefl Gdańsk 3-1 (25-18, 25-17, 17-25, 25-17) in PlusLiga blockbuster of Round 4.
Canadian – Serbian duo John Gordon Perrin and Marko Ivović kept Resovia’s invincibility in the Polish Championship. Each scored 13 points. Mateusz Mika topped Trefl with 15 points.
But, Resovia are not the only team with perfect record in PlusLiga so far. Jastrzębski Węgiel keep up with Resovia but they achieved their fourth win much harder. Jastrzębski made stunning comeback against hosts Effector Kielce 3-2 (22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-15, 15-13). Cuban Salvador Hidalgo ’Juanky’ and Maciej Muzaj led the winners with 20 points each. Croatian Leo Andrić had 24 in Effector.
