Przegladsportowy.pl writes that experienced setter accepted the offer of Espadon Szczecinto to help his friend, team head coach Milan Simojlović. The club needed another setter after parting ways with Georgi Bratoev, so Simojlović called Petković, who accepted to come to Poland.
“I cannot talk about the exact amount, but his contract is symbolic,” said Espadon Szczecin president Radoslaw Rybak for przegladsportowy.pl.
Petković will turn 40 next January, while in his long and rich volleyball career he became the Olympic champion with Yugoslavia back in 2000.
