I think the result comes especially from the many errors of our opponents” says team captain Izabela Belcik. “They missed many attacks or were stopped by our block. We just made fewer mistakes than they did and that was the key to success”.

We still have to improve the quality of our play in all fundamentals. You can always do better. We are evidently very happy with the three points we took from the match with PROSTEJOV but this does not cause any euphoria. We still need to work hard and improve our block as well as attack. Everything needs to be refined” she adds.

After three consecutive defeats, the victory over PROSTEJOV came after another positive result in the national league. “We really needed these wins after starting the season by playing very strong opponents. The truth is that our roster has completely changed since last year and we need some time to find the right chemistry. Some players have joined us at the last moment and hence we need time. I believe that this is only a question of time and we will play well” stresses Belcik.

Having been assigned to a group that includes also Rabita BAKU and AsystelCarnaghi VILLA CORTESE, is it possible for Atom Trefl to make it to the next round? “It is very difficult to say that after two rounds. We definitely want to make it to the Playoffs even though our group is really tough. Apart from Agel PROSTEJOV, the other teams are really strong. However, we also know that if we want to continue our adventure, we need to win at least one match with Rabita or VILLA CORTESE. This is a big challenge for us but we want to fulfill our goal” she concludes.
