The local fans could not have asked for a more exciting Volleyball night, with the players of the home team as well as those of Azerrail BAKU delighting the audience with great actions and their tremendous fighting spirit. “I am evidently very pleased with this victory. We turned things around after we could break the strategy worked out by our opponents” says Tauron MKS opposite Joanna Kaczor. “The situation changed quite radically and everything looked different as we performed well from the serving line, stabilized our reception and could attack with the necessary consistency”.

With this 3:2 win Tauron MKS DABROWA GORNICZA claimed its first points in Pool C after suffering three consecutive defeats. “All matches are equally important to us but this one with Azerrail was somehow special. We knew that another defeat would have resulted in losing all chances to continue our European campaign. The situation remains quite difficult for us but still we got the right boost of energy and confidence from this win” adds Kaczor.

Before their next European match that is coming up in early December with DRESDNER SC, Kaczor and her teammates will resume their campaign in the national league by playing PTPS PILA on Monday. “It won’t be an easy match as they are currently ranked third in the standings. We all want to get maximum points from this game. Good results contribute to the morale of the group and our win against Azerrail will help us look forward to the next matches with the right confidence”, so Kaczor.
