POL M: Jastrzębski surpass Warszawa in derby, Skra remain second-placed thanks to team’s serving show vs. Będzin

Jastrzębski Węgiel beat ONICO Warszawa by a 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23) in Round 26 of the Polish men’s volleyball championship Plus Liga 2017/2018.

After suffering two defeats to them this season, the sixth-placed Jastrzębski finally beat Warszawa and reduced the distance to the team from the Polish capital, who are at No.4, in the standings to three points. Maciej Muzaj scored 22 points (3 aces, 2 kill blocks) for Jastrzębski, while Frenchman Guillaume Samica delivered 14 points for Warszawa.

Thanks to 14 served aces as a team, PGE Skra Bełchatów outplayed MKS Będzin by a 3-0 to remain at the second place.

With as much as 10 players making it to the scoresheet, the leaders Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle swept Espadon Szczecin.
