RUSSIAN CUP M: Two Zenits to battle for the trophy!

Zenit Kazan and Zenit St. Petersburg have advanced to the final of the men’s Russian Cup.

Zenit St. Petersburg defeated Fakel in four sets 3-1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-22, 25-16). The first three sets were super exciting, while in the fourth Fakel’s display suddenly dropped and the team from St. Petersburg claimed the win.

Zenit Kazan, as the reigning champions, defeated Kuzbass Kemerevo in four sets 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-22).

The team from Kazan didn’t start the game in a good way since the rival took the lead. Afterwards, Alekno’s side controlled the situation on the court and won the game.

The top scorer of the game was Maxim Mikhailov with 21 points, while Earvin Ngapeth added 15. On the other side, Viktor Poletaev scored 26.
