Lokomotiv

By looking at the order in the standings of the Superliga Parimatch regular season, a derby of Round 15 was held in Kemerovo, where the leaders Lokomotiv swept champions and vice-leaders Kuzbass by a 3-0 (26-24, 26-24, 25-21), inflicting them first defeat at home this season in the competition. Serbian Marko Ivović top-scored for the team from Novosibirsk with 18 points, including 6 kill blocks. Kuzbass are still deprived of help from their major star Viktor Poletaev and his absence is now measured in months. Bogdan Glivenko and Yaroslav Podlesnykh tallied 13 points apiece for the titleholders.

In the Superliga classic between the 2 teams that won 18 national titles combined, Zenit-Kazan showed superiority over Belogorie, which was not a surprise, knowing that the team from Belogorie is having a rather poor campaign with 6 defeats (including today’s) and 8 wins, which placed them 8th in the charts. As for Zenit-Kazan, they are 5th with as many as 9 points behind the leaders Lokomotiv but with 2 games played less.

With the 5th successive victory, Dinamo Moscow took over the vice-leaders position from Kuzbass.
