Dinamo Moscow, now at 3 wins and no losses, beat the Superliga Parimatch women reigning champions Dinamo-Ak Bars in Round 4 of the 2020/21 regular season. It was truly a thriller in Kazan that ended with a tie-break, lasted for two hours and eight minutes, and in which the visitors dominated in blocking (22). Partially, it was 20-25, 28-26, 25-23, 23-25, and 15-13. Dinamo-Moscow inflicted the first defeat in the season to the rivals to whose last season’s championship title they had complaints.

Nataliya Goncharova was the top scorer for the winning side with 29 points (including 4 blocks) through 68 attacks! Ekaterina Enina made as many as 9 blocks, while Irina Fetisova had 6. In Dinamo-Ak, Mexican Samantha Bricio tallied 26 points, followed by Irina Koroleva (25 points, including 7 blocks). Taisiya Konovalova had 5 blocks, while Anna Kotikova made 75 % reception (60 % excellent).

One more big match was supposed to be held today. In Kaliningrad, the vice-champions Lokomotiv were to host bronze medalists Uralochka-NTMK. The encounter was canceled due to the detection of COVID-19 in some of the players on the home side.

Metar-Chelyabinsk recorded their first win as they defeated Zarechie-Odintsovo, while Dinamo Krasnodar and Proton continued to amaze and are still unbeaten (4-0 apiece). Both teams noted 3-1 victories to keep No.1 and No.2 on the charts respectively. There’s one more team with the perfect record – Leningradka. The Saint Petersburg side is at 3-0 after sweeping winless Enisey.
