Lokomotiv finished the pool stage of the inaugural Final Six of the Russian Women’s Superliga with a perfect record (2-0), prevailing over the reigning champions and tournament hosts Dinamo-Ak Bars in a decider for no.1 in Pool A in the tie-break, yesterday. Thus, the Kazan team had to fight for the spot in the semis against Proton today. They were victorious (3-0: 25-16, 25-18, 25-19) thanks to 18 points of Arina Fedorovtseva.
Ahead of the last day of Pool B, Uralochka-NTMK were on top but with today’s 4-set win of Dinamo Moscow (Nataliya Goncharova 15 points) against Minchanka, the team from the country’s capital claimed no.1. Thus, the single-game semifinals are defined.
