Just like in the previous three seasons (last season wasn't completed), VaLePa Sastamala Tampere won the title in the Finnish Men’s Volleyball Championship this season as well.

VaLePa Sastamala Tampere won the 6th men’s club championship title in Finland, the 4th successive.

Even though they lost Game 1 of the 2020/21 Mestaruusliiga playoff finals against the top-seed Savo Volley, no.2 VaLePa won the next 2 matches in the series (3-0 in Game 3: 25-13, 25-21, 25-20) and got crowned champions. Interestingly, it was Savo’s first defeat at home ground this season but it turned to be fatal.

Young opposite hitter Aaro Nikula top-scored VaLePa. The 21-year-old player made 20 points tonight, including 4 blocks. Another youngster had a good performance. A 20-year-old outside hitter Mikko Räsänen notched 14 points on the losing side.
