Volleyball in Russia is not very popular sport, which does not mean that the fans are not trying to promote their favorites and show their appreciation. The proof to that can be recent voting for the best athlete in July conducted by a TV channel Russia 2.
Pavlov
TV Voting is quite spread in Russia and so far many times spectators have used this way to prove their devotion to the volleyball representatives of their country. Therefore, last month of July they pronounced Nikolay Pavlov for the athlete of the month.
