“I was hoping that we will start new season with a victory. We were very close to that scenario, and I think we deserved a win. But I do not know how we gave away tie-break to Belogorie. Nevertheless I am happy with the way we played. For the first match together, that was very good” – said Nikola Grbić, new setter of Zenit.
On the other side Alexander Bogomolov, middle blocker of Belgorod team, said that he is totally worn out after a Supercup:
“I completely gave myself to this match. I don’t even have strength to rejoice. I am very pleased that my first official match for Belogorie turned out to be such interesting and victorious at the end”.
Bogomolov also added:
“We will fight each other in all competitions. I think Zenit is our main competitor. They selected a very serious team. It will be an interesting season…”
