At the beginning, Austrian team showed disrespect and gave strong resistance to defending champion. But, when score was 21-18 for home side, there was no chance for away team to make comeback and Lokomotiv clinched first set by 25-20.
In second set, home team moved playing style on higher level and Austrian team had to surrender. Too strong spike caused nose bleeding of Posojilnica setter Oliver Binder. We hope that he is well now.
In the third set Posojilnica tried to play with more courage, with more risky spikes, but that didn’t help. Lokomotiv recorded first win in Pool E.
The best scorer was Lukas Divis with 16, while Anton Mysin added 13. In defeated team Valdir Sequeira scored 11.

Lube Macerata – Zenit 3-0 (27-25, 25-21, 25-22)
Lokomotiv Novosibirsk – Posojilnica 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-22)
