CL W: Rabita won in Pool A derby match

In a battle of favorites between Rabita Baku and Omichka Omsk, home team got the very important win.

Rachel Rourke was the unstoppable force for the Azerbaijani side in most part of the match. On the other side, Natalya Mammadova dominated the game as usual.

During the first set, Rabita led the whole time to eventually win the opening period by 25-16 score. Omichka followed up by a strong response and completly dominated the second set 20-25.

Again giant from Baku showed their power and demonstrated amazingly efficient volleyball in the third set 25-19. Then drama started. Omichka fought back strong in the fourth set but Rabita could smell the victory at 21-20 score. Still defence of the Russian girls was flawless and Mammadova was perfect in attack so tie-break was upon us 23-25.

Home team opened strong to achieve the three point lead but series of careless mistakes pilled up and Omichka turned around result at 4-6. Still the stronger team of Rabita came up the late winners after a great spike of Rachel Rourke, 15-13.
