Grbic and company started strong in the first set, dominating in the early stage of it. After 16-10 there was no comeback for the Austrians and home team got the lead, 25-14.
Alekno then decided to rest most of his important players, as Grbic, Mikhailov started second period at the bench. But Posojilnica responded well and won second set convincingly, 25-19.
Zenit’s coach learned a lesson and brought back the starters who dominated again, brought back the lead and easily won third, as well as fourth set, in which Austrians had zero chances to turn the result around.
Anderson was the game’s top scorer with 23 points, while Sequeira had 19. Sivozhelez recorded 12 and Wawrzynczyk 11.
