The Russian women’s volleyball Superliga Parimatch side Dinamo Krasnodar added a huge amount of experience to its roster for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
Marina Babeshina, the setter and former captain of the Russia National Team with whom she won the 2006 FIVB World Championship and got close to doing the same at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games (silver medal), ended her brief retirement that began at the end of the last season.
Babeshina is a ‘product’ of Nikolay Karpol’s Uralochka-NTMK, playing for both youth and senior squad for as many as 10 years in total. The 36-year-old player announced suspending her career last summer after wearing the jersey of Dinamo Moscow for 4 years. During her club career, Babeshina won 5 Russian championships, among numerous other trophies.
