Reigning champion has grabbed the very last ticket for the F6 with a win over Serbia, and will therefore have a chance to defend the gold. Yuri Marichev, coach of Russia, stated that he is pleased with this success, but did not want to promise anything regarding the final battles.
“Winning the first set made us more self-confident and made Serbia more anxious. This was a nervous match, but we were well prepared for it. I don’t know what will happen in Milan, we will think about it once we get there.”
