This volleyball website contacted coach Vladimir Alekno who confirmed that he talked with American legend.
“Yes, I spoke with Lloy. I called him and said that we have a problem. We needed a quality setter, and at the first point Ball looked interested. He said to me that he still practices 6 days per week in the gym and that he would be ready for comeback, but that he has to talk with his family. However, eventually he informed me that he can’t accept the proposal” said Alekno for Sport-Express and revealed one more thing.
“We then tried to contact Micah Christenson over Ball, but we did not reach the deal with him too. He said to us that he is a student.”
As you all know, Zenit Kazan eventually signed Benjamin Toniutti.
