New rules of Bulgarian VB Federation – play for NT or be punished!

Bulgarian VB federation decided to test the new project that could be described as “work for Bulgarian NT or be punished”. It means, if you get a call to join Bulgarian national team squad, you have to do it or you will be fined.

This project will last until the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. New rules are:

– Each player or staff member is required to appear at training camp of NT

– Each player has to be in the best physical condition and to be available to the coach

– A player can be exempted of the International duty only if he has a valid reason or proof of absence

– A player who refuses to be a part of National team without a valid reason of his absence, will face with the consequences – player may lose playing license…

We have a simple question:

Does Bulgarian Federation have the right to punish the players for refusing to play in the national team?
