This club is well known by its football section, which is one of the best in the country. However, Spartak Moscow obviously does not care that much about volleyball.

Spartak firstly left the Russian B League in January this year due to financial problems, while today club’s board decided to completely withdraw from the national competition. It is possible that the club will play in local Moscow league.

Spartak Moscow won the national title in USSR back in 1940.
