Vitaly Mutko, Russian Minister of Sport, stated for local media that Dinamo Moscow and Belogorie Belgorod will probably be punished for refusing to travel to Turkey for the Champions League games.

Recall that the Russian Volleyball Federation decided not to allow Dinamo Moscow and Belogorie Belgorod to play their Champions League games in Turkey due to political tension between two countries. However, it seems now that two Russian clubs will receive a penalty from European Volleyball Federation…

“Diplomatic relations between two countries are not broken. We are talking about economic and social sanctions. Russian clubs will probably be punished for not flying to Turkey. We are waiting for the reaction from the European Volleyball Federation” said Mutko for rsport.ru.
