Queenseis Toyota Auto Body surprised V-League’s leaders Toray Arrows and downed them at home court after tie-break thriller 3-2 (25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 15-8).

The game could easily go other way round as Toray recovered after trailing 2-0 in sets, but Azerbaijani bomber Rahimova took care that win stays in Aichi. She scored 32 points (5 aces) while Saori Takahashi added 16 (4 blocks).

In losing team, Saori Kimura and Saori Sakoda had 19 points each. American TeTori Dixon contributed with 17.

The 33 points from American Kelly Murphy weren’t enough for Ageo Medics to prevail over visitors Okayama Seagulls 3-2 (25-16, 24-26, 25-22, 16-25, 15-13). Aki Kawabata topped Seagulls’ scorers with 18 points.

Lauren Paolini from USA collected 22 points in effort of Hitachi Rivale Ibaraki to reach away win over title holders NEC Red Rockets. Risa Shiragaki’s 18 points helped Red Rockets to reach 6-5 record and claim third place in the standings.
