Russian Volleyball Federation – “We are not going to punish Muserskiy”

Alexander Yaremenko, the General Secretary of the Russian Volleyball Federation, congratulated both men’s and the women’s team for qualifying for the Olympic Games and stated that Dmitriy Muserskiy will not be punished for refusing to play in Berlin.

“Nobody is going to punish Muserskiy. I do not want even to talk about it. I congratulate the whole Russia on this double victory. Here in Berlin we saw a wonderful organization and a very high level of volleyball. So I need to say – Boys, well done! They were a real team,” said Yaremenko and especially praised Sergey Tetyukhin.

“I do not want to single out anyone. Sergey Tetyukhin is a genius, a volleyball alien. We have built a team around him.”

Tetyukin is just a legend. at 40 he still play at a high quality volleyball and mostly players playing are much younger than him. thats why no wonder why he is the MVP
