RUS M: Belogorie’s receiver and former member of Russian NT retires!

The man who spent 17 seasons in a jersey of Belogorie has decided to finish volleyball career!

Aleksander Kosarev won’t be playing volleyball anymore but he stays in volleyball. The 38-year old player will work as a coach in Belogorie.

Beside Belogorie Kosarev played in Zenit Kazan, Fakel and Ukrainian Nadzbrutchy. He won a lot of trophies with Belogorie and among them are trophies in the CEV Champions League (4), domestic championship (8), national cup (7), CEV Cup (1)…

He was a member of Russian volleyball national team as well. He won bronze medals at the Olympic Games (2004 and 2008). The silver medal he earned in 2002 at the World Championship. When we talk about European championship, he took the silver medal as well in 2007. In 2002, Kosarev won the FIVB World League.
