Butko
These are certainly not good news for the Russian fans. One of their top setters Alexander Butko will not be able to help the national team in the 2016 FIVB World League.
It was announced by the Russian Volleyball Federation.
“Butko will not play in the World League due to injury. Hopefully he will recover before the Olympics” said General Manager of the Russian national team Roman Stanislavov for R-Sport.
Head coach Vladimir Alekno will therefore be able to count on the following three setters – Igor Kobzar, Dmitriy Kovalev and Sergey Grankin.
