At the beginning of 2015/2016 season Belogorie Belgorod reounced him and wanted to sent him to Iran. Ilinykh was not satisfied with their decision and was willing to go only to some team in Russia or neighboring country. Finally, he went to Gazprom Yugra Surgut. Since they did not want to extend contract with him he ended up in Qatar.

Above all, during the season, he suffered very unpleasant situation which happened exactly in Belgorod. While playing in Yugra, after the Russian Superliga match against Belogorie, Ilinykh and his teammate Pavel Zaytsev got badly beaten.

„Actually, it was very unpleasant coincidence. Thank God that everything is over, I’m alive and well and can continue to play volleyball… I will not hide, after the game with Belogorie we went to a restaurant to hang out with friends. It was all well – drinking beer, did not mess with anyone, but when we were driving back home, a group of people was waiting for us. You know how it finished… It was hooliganism,“ Ilinykh, who will spend next season in Dinamo Moscow, said for championat.com.
