Karpol is a volleyball legend!! I remember very well this game. It was semi final match, Athenas 2004.
Brazilian NT was winning the match 2-1… In 4th set, the brazilian girls were leading 24-19.
Only 01 point for Brazil to advance the first Final Olympic Games in her history.
This 01 point sadly became a dream.. or better, this 01 point became a terrible nightmare!!!
The Russian team commanded by Karpol tied the game and win the tie break!
It has been one of biggest comeback in all volleyball matches.
