Startseva was named the captain of Dinamo Kazan last summer, while that role has put a lot of responsibility on her back – She had to take care of her team. In the interview for R-Sport, Startseva stated that sometimes she even has to use drastic measures…
“The captain’s role has brought me more organizational tasks. I try to make contact with the girls, especially with the younger ones. Different things can happen. Sometimes I talk with them, sometimes I smack them… We sometimes have conflicts over operational issues. Of course, maybe someone in the team hates me silently because of that, but so far no one has showed it,” said Startseva.
