The 13th round of the Russian Men's Championship was quite strange, because most of the teams had to play without their star players!

Flu epidemic has hit the Russian Championship as many star players missed the latest games due to illness.

The worst situation is in Zenit Kazan. The reigning champions were without Matt Anderson, Artem Volvich, Maxim Mikhailov and Alexander Butko in the match against Dinamo Krasnodar. Still, Zenit managed to win the match despite all problems.

On the other side, Belogorie Belgorod got defeated by Ural Ufa on the road, and the reason might be the absence of Dmitriy Muserskiy who could not help his teammates as he got sick before the match.

Kuzbass Kemerovo was beaten by Lokomotiv Novosibirsk in the local derby, but it must be mentioned that Kuzbass could not count on their best scorer Viktor Poletaev, who had a high fever.

Finally, Alexey Spiridonov also had to miss the 13th round of the Russian Championship due to illness, but his Enisey still managed to beat Orenburg in the tie-break.
