Volleyball players in Russia to pay mandatory tax to national federation?

Some sports federations in Russia consider implementing mandatory tax for the athletes competing in home leagues to develop these sports they represent. Russian Volleyball Federation was one of the sports federations in the country which was mentioned it will do so...

The Russian Boxing Federation decided to impose a mandatory tax of 7% to all domestic professional boxers, which means they will all give 7% of their fees to develop this sport in Russia.

Russian media were interested to know if volleyball federation will do the same.  

“In Russian volleyball, there’s no need to even consider such an innovation like in boxing. Russian Volleyball Federation doesn’t have any relationship with the professional volleyball players when they are in the club system of the Russian championship. They have contracts in the club-player system. In boxing, there’s no such thing,” Secretary General of the Russian Volleyball Federation, Aleksandr Yaremenko, said to “R-Sport”.

We can only imagine the scale of incontent among volleyball players in Russia if their national federation would consider imposing a tax like this…
