FIVB have tested two new rules, regarding serve and scoring system but a coach that led U23 Russian national team Andrey Voronkov doesn’t see this as a good idea.

I would not call it a great idea. If it’s necessary you can get used to this format. We need to be aware that every opponent’s error in a set up to 15 points is a weight of gold. This system needs time. We have to change the mentality of the players and the game has to be more technical. Practice has shown that the advantage of two or three balls are difficult to be reduced in order to win a set. When playing to 25, there is a chance to reduce 4-1 lead. You have no space to make errors and ineffective actions can be catastrophic,” says Andrey Voronkov, a man who led Russia to the gold medal at the European Championship.
