The crowd includes fans from each of the participating teams in the third-round qualifier Pool J – Serbia, Slovenia, Portugal, and the F.Y.R. of Macedonia – but also some special supporters of the Serbian wing-spiker who traveled all the way to Nis from as far as Istanbul and Tokyo.
Rie Sakura Tanda from Japan plus Betul Deger and Efe Kavas from Turkey are attending the tournament in Nis especially to support their Volleyball idol. Nikic exchanged presents with his loyal fans and before the start of the game with the F.Y.R. of Macedonia he also found the time to take a picture with Rie and Efe.
