SERBIAN CUP M: Belgrade ’eternal’ rivals on Final Four

OK Partizan Belgrade became the first participant of the final tournament of the 50th Serbian Cup.

The players in „black and white“ jerseys defeated Inđija in the second leg, in the quartefinals, after the real drama in the fifth set.

Partizan won with 3-2 (same result was ib the first leg), in sets 17-25, 25-13, 15-25, 25-21 and 23-21, after 117 minutes of play.

Milija Mrdak was amazing with 30 points for the winning team. Marko Nikolić added 18. In Inđija, Uglješa Pešut scored 22 and Ljubiša Janjić 21 points.

Partizan’s ’eternal’ rival Crvena zvezda Belgrade also progressed to the semis. „Red and white“ team beat Đerdap Kladovo by 3-1 (first leg 3-0).

Aleksandar Blagojević scored 21 while Filip Stoilović collected 14 for Crvena zvezda. Jovan Delić with 18 points led the losing team.

Vojvodina NS Seme Novi Sad and Radnički Kragujevac also went into semfinals.
