SRB M: Driven on Ukrainian fuel, Vojvodina clinch semifinal berth

The top-seed Vojvodina NS Seme Novi Sad justified the role of the favorites in the playoff quarterfinals in the Serbian men’s volleyball championship Superliga 2017/2018.

The top-seed Vojvodina NS Seme Novi Sad gave only a glimmer of hope to No.8 Spartak Ljig in Game 2 of the playoff quarterfinals as they allowed rivals to take one set, 3-1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-12, 25-21). Thus, the defending champions scored a 2-0 in series and became the first side to progress to the semifinals.

The Ukrainian opposite Vitalii Sukhinin topped Vojvodina with 24 points. Stevan Simić contributed with 4 kill blocks and 81% attack (13/16, blocked twice). Radiša Stevanović made 4 kill blocks as well. In Spartak, Nikola Gajević scored 22 points. Vladan Aleksić recorded 4 kill blocks.
